Frequently Asked Questions

What is a SERP API?

A SERP API is a service that programmatically fetches search engine results pages and returns the data as structured JSON. Instead of manually scraping Google or Bing, you send a keyword and receive parsed organic results, ads, featured snippets, and other SERP features in a clean format.

Which search engines are supported?

Our SERP API currently supports Google and DuckDuckGo, with more search engines coming soon. Both engines return structured results in the same consistent JSON format.

What data can I extract from search results?

The API returns organic results, paid ads, featured snippets, People Also Ask boxes, Knowledge Graph panels, local pack results, related searches, image packs, video results, and shopping results β€” all as structured JSON fields.

How does geo-targeting work?

You can specify a country, state, city, or even GPS coordinates in your request. The API routes your search through a local IP in that region so you get the same results a user physically located there would see. We support 195+ countries.

Can I use this for rank tracking?

Yes. The rank tracking API workflow is straightforward β€” query the same keywords on a schedule, from specific locations and devices, and compare organic positions over time. The structured output makes it easy to detect ranking changes.

What programming languages are supported?

Any language that can make an HTTP request works. The API is a standard REST endpoint. We provide examples in Python, Node.js, and cURL, but Go, Ruby, PHP, Java, and any other HTTP-capable stack will work.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is based on the number of search queries and the search engines you target. Reach out through the contact form and we will put together a quote based on your volume and requirements.
